- I shocked that Lauren Boebert actually voted on something.

- Greene called for an amendment which would have struck over “$433 million in NATO funding” from the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs appropriations bill, she told members of Congress while speaking on the House floor. - Very odd phrasing because nobody funds NATO exactly. They fund their own military, which is in a defensive alliance with other country’s militaries. Other than some coordination costs and command structure there really isn’t anything that is direct NATO cost. The news agency fell for her phrasing. - Sounds like what she actually wants to defund is military construction and veterans affairs. - *Apparently it was defunding some overseas troop infrastructure. Guess what you have to shelter your troops no matter where they’re based. - She…she doesn’t know that… because she’s a fucking idiot.
- It’s just… well, it’s not surprising, but it’s just so fucking obnoxious. And also right on top of McConnell of all people decrying and calling out isolationism and fascism (but not really, because he mostly just pivoted it into taking digs at Biden and Democrats, as if they’re the ones blocking literally anything from getting done on that front). - I haven’t had my blood boil like reading that McConnell piece. - I can’t even put the rage into words. - It’s like… the first couple paragraphs are mostly coherent. And then it slowly morphs into WOOOOOO REPUBLICANS ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO CAN SAVE US (pointedly ignoring the fact that they’re the ones that are preventing literally ANYTHING important or useful from getting done).

- The Republican Party has been compromised - Traitors.
- Considering Russia just designated the US as an enemy, does that mean we can start using Treason?

- In Russian pockets.
- Sometimes, I think we should try direct democracy. - We have the technology. National Voter ID (SSN). One vote. Apps. Public voting at libraries. On big issues like, abortion, immigration, gun control. It could be done… which is why we won’t do it. - National Voter ID (SSN)

- Don’t let Lemmy fool you. Unfortunately, a lot of people are easily swayed. - unpopular policies are more popular than you think.
