Update: they edited their comment to make it even worse, and added plenty of smuglord

Then they go on to expose themselves as a genocide supporter, while of course claiming they don’t but its cOmPlICaTeD!

Liberals really believe there’s no such thing as negotiation, compromise, or long-term strategy. They don’t believe in undermining your opponents either. They don’t believe in temporarily alliances that only exist so you can screw over your competition later. They will brow beat us about how Lenin said to vote for liberal parties, but miss the part about how he meant voting for parties that are allied with socialist parties.

The only thing liberals believe is abandoning your ideals at the slightest provocation and becoming a standard conservative.

It often happens, however, that thinking lags behind reality; this is because man’s cognition is limited by numerous social conditions. We are opposed to die-herds in the revolutionary ranks whose thinking fails to advance with changing objective circumstances and has manifested itself historically as Right opportunism. These people fail to see that the struggle of opposites has already pushed the objective process forward while their knowledge has stopped at the old stage. This is characteristic of the thinking of all die-herds. Their thinking is divorced from social practice, and they cannot march ahead to guide the chariot of society; they simply trail behind, grumbling that it goes too fast and trying to drag it back or turn it in the opposite direction.

We are also opposed to “Left” phrase-mongering. The thinking of “Leftists” outstrips a given stage of development of the objective process; some regard their fantasies as truth, while others strain to realize in the present an ideal which can only be realized in the future. They alienate themselves from the current practice of the majority of the people and from the realities of the day, and show themselves adventurist in their actions.

      -Mao

You need to be able to see the whole situation and understand what current conditions require to advance to your ultimate ideal. If you’re not willing to make concessions for a future victory you are as lost as someone with no ideals.

Yes, but given that the US is in a more advanced stage of production, that means there are more radical possibilities than in Maoist China, not less. And this holds despite the woeful state of class consciousness.

If making concessions to the democrat party hadn’t been tried many times in the past only for them to keep none of their promises, you would have a good point. However, American leftists have been burnt so many times trying this that one must seriously question its efficacy.

95+% of people on American tv news: “I got an idea here. Biden should move to the right…”

oxjox: “I’m a liberal socialist and I got an idea here. It’s something to consider. Maybe you guys haven’t thought about it. Biden should move to the right…”

Problem is that 99.9% of the time what they think will be “whatever it takes to get votes” means moving economically to the right, mostly the same on social issues, perhaps a bit more xenophobic, and amp up the militarism. The uncomfortable reality for libs is, the “abandoned ideals” position that would peel off votes from republicans in many area of the country would be beerniecrat economics but with strong gun rights.

The larger issue though is that a lot of voters aren’t turned off by the particular positions but because they see democrats (with good reason) as being shifty and untrustworthy. A few pivots here and there a couple months before the election won’t fix that. Which is part of the problem with this “vote blue no matter who,” constantly chasing the current cycle politics, there’s never any long-term planning.

It’s because the feds control wikipedia and don’t want the One True Form of Marxism to be known to the public.

a standard liberal going through the political ideology section on wikipedia:

“I’ll have two national socialists, a syndicalist large, a anarcho-capitalist with extra dip, a marxist-leninist, two anarcho-communists, one with molotovs, and a large liberal.”

Every time US politics is mentioned here or lemmygrad, I swear these libs come out of the woodwork to “umm acktually” us and demand we vote Biden. How do they keep finding us? Do they search for keywords like “Biden” in order to come in and scold us for not supporting a genocide war criminal?
