They won’t use those words explicitly, but the meaning is always pretty clear. Also just a condescending tone in the wording.

There’s a definite bit of implicit Thatcherism going on. There is no alternative to the brutal, settler colonial war machine, so take the option that puts a respectable face on said machine.
Taking that train of thought to the last station… wouldn’t the argument boil down to voting Trump? If the only option is the brutal war machine then we might as well make sure the face of that machine is as disgusting and honest as possible to hopefully snap Americans out of their complacency.
