    Dont laugh this off…

One is a literal and convicted terrorist who calls spitting on Christians and their churches “an ancient Jewish tradition” that’s still perfectly acceptable…

    https://www.timesofisrael.com/high-court-rejects-petition-to-disqualify-far-right-ben-gvir-as-a-minister/

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Itamar_Ben-Gvir#Controversies

And the other has been saying publicly for over a decade they need to destroy the Palestinian Authority and leave Hamas in charge because then no one will care about genociding Palestinians.

He also doesn’t recognize conversion to Judaism, and to protest a gay pride even he lead a bunch of donkeys through the street implying LGBTQ is the same as beastiality.

And has said the only reason they’re not enforcing thousands of year old laws, is they don’t have the political power… Yet.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bezalel_Smotrich#Political_positions

Modern Israel is a government of far right religious extremists.

And this situation is ripe for them to seize total control, shit can get a lot worse if we keep enabling them. And lots of countries with upcoming elections, only have options that will support these fucking maniacs and legitimize them.

They could very well do this and succeed even if just America supports them, and whichever 80 year old asshole wins, they will support them

It’s not like America is ever hesitant at overthrowing a democracy to install right wing religious extremists, even tho it almost never works out in the long-term

So there’s no chance that this threat could backfire? By the looks of the Israeli protest marches, not everyone in that country agrees with the current government’s heavy handed approach. Could this be a bluff?

I mean, one of those links is about the SC hearing the complaints and siding with the first fascist…

And if you read some of the stuff from the second guys link; he’s trying to take power away from their courts anyways.

        Like, I specifically said:

Modern Israel is a government of far right religious extremists.

Their people are still just people. But Israel is in a unique position where there’s a steady stream of far right extremists immigrating in, and they’re pretty much the only ones immigrating.

So generations that grow up there, are often tired of the violence, but there’s always new people coming in, with the belief that Israel needs to expand to make room for them.

People that think Israel is already too rightwing, are going to stay where they are.

I mean, in the months/weeks/even days leading up to 10/7, Bibi was facing serious threats of being ousted out of power for being too far right wing.

The people had already had enough, but who says they’ll get another election if the existing facist goverment is overthrown by an even more fascist government?

Like, the second guy already publicly says only the super Orthodox are “really Jewish” and wants a strict Torah interpretation where only “the chosen” matter.

In his vision the only ones with a say are the far right orthodox sects…

And the Venn diagram of them and the hardcore fascists in Israel is basically a single circle.

The military will likely side with them, at least leadership

So if they try it, the best possible result is likely to be a prolonged civil war where the IDF attacks anyone that doesn’t agree with them, not just in Gaza.

This is all a direct parrell to how the nazis reacted when they realized there was a possibility of losing WW2.

That’s when the real horrors started, because if they were going to lose, they wanted to kill everyone they could who wasn’t 110% on their side in every respect

This shit is dangerous as fuck bro.

They have fucking nukes this time

If it came to other countries having to step in to stop them, or even Israeli citizens rising up. These nut jobs will glass as much of the planet as they can. And completely believe it’s “for the greater good”.

Ironically this is why conservative evangelicals in America support them. They believe this is what starts Armageddon and the rapture immediately follows.

Lots of people leading countries right now would be completely happy to see all this happen.

Israels society has been deeply poisoned with fascism for many years and it grew exponentially over the past 8 months, especially with the encouragement of its allies. Even if the protest marches make up ten percent of the population, very few of them are in the army. And a lot of the people protesting Netanyahu do support the genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing in the West Bank.

The problem is that seeking peace is not only dangerous to Netanyahu and his crownies. If the IDF stops the genocide now, there is the risk of accountability for its soldiers. People might start to question the atrocities not only committed, but proudly filmed and uploaded to social media. If they stop now they would need to acknowledge, that their targets were still humans with dignity and rights that they brutally violated. By continuing the genocide they can continue the story of fighting “human animals” and justify their actions to themselves and internally.

If they stop the genocide now, there is 2 million people left that need to get access to humanitarian aid, need to be sheltered and there is basically all of Gaza that needs to be rebuilt. If Israel would pay for that, it would extremely strain them financially and the terrorist settlers and other fascists would fight it violently. If the western allies would have to do it, they would be very pissed with how much money they’ll have to put forward, further severing ties.

All the survivors are potential witnesses and creating some sort of stability will allow them to tell their stories. There can be research into everything that happened and war crimes could be documented and verifies very precisely.

So the murderers in the IDF and all the fascists have a lot to loose and they have all the guns. A military coup is a very real threat and whoever is protesting now does not have the same individual risks associated with continuing. Instead the risk is more abstract of Israel breaking apart and being left without support by its former allies, ultimately leading to its defeat. But that is not so much of a motivation to put yourself in front of a gun as staying out of life imprisonment is a motivation for the person holding that gun to pull the trigger on you.

Unfortunately our local reich-wing maniacs love genocide and will support anybody engaged in it, especially if it’s against muslims

Yeah it’s Netanyahu’s ultra far right maniac allies that are pro-genocide. Netanyahu himself is pro-staying in power by any means necessary. They’re too bad taste that taste bad together. Like poop and crude oil mixed into a sticky, diseased sludge.

It sounds like Gantz will rescue it, though. Or at least would be willing to and has enough seats for a majority; I’m not sure if they’d still have to call an election.

But think of the Consequences if they DON’T accept the Peace Plan! They’ll only get more Bombs and Ammunition and Money from Biden instead of Bombs and Ammunition and Money from Biden!

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Biden unveiled on Friday what he said was a three-phase Israeli proposal to end the conflict in Gaza that would pair a release of hostages with a “full and complete ceasefire.”

During a speech at the White House, Biden said Hamas had been degraded to a point where it could no longer carry out the type of attack seen on October 7 that launched the current war in Gaza.

In a statement on social media, Smotrich said he had “made it clear” to Netanyahu that he would not “be part of a government that will agree to the proposed outline and end the war without destroying Hamas and returning all the hostages.”

“If the prime minister implements the reckless deal under the conditions published today, which mean the end of the war and the giving up on the elimination of Hamas, Otzma Yehudit will dissolve the government,” he said, referring to the far-right party he leads and which helps prop up Netanyahu’s majority in parliament.

But less than an hour after Biden detailed the proposal, Netanyahu insisted Israel will not end the war in Gaza until it had achieved all of its goals, including the destruction of Hamas.

Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid has offered to back Netanyahu in accepting the proposal, and condemned the comments by Smotrich and Ben Gvir.
