  • if his parents/family were part of the 1% why would he simply not pay for his medical costs out of pocket?

At 26 you’re on your own insurance and he was a right wing tech bro, it’s a safe assumption he had the cheapest insurance, got hurt and bailed out, then got the “good” insurance and found out it’s shit too.

He had major back surgery and then other shit, it could have went over a million, and the wealthy stay wealthy for generations by understanding wealth is finite. At a certain point they may have cut him off for deductibles and/or insurance capped out.

He could just be pissed Doctor’s won’t investigate the issue, because insurance told them not to.

There’s a lot of reasons to be pissed at insurance, and a lot of reasons health issues bankrupt even well off families.

  • I mean shit, GoFundMe is trying to stamp it out right and left, but there was donations for Kyle Rittenhouse…

Luigi is going to get a shit ton of money for legal fees, from pretty much every demographics. His generational wealth and connections mean he’s not going to get some ambulance chaser, he’s going to get an established law firm that will tear the state to shreds.

Honestly, this might be what finally pits the 1% against the 0.01%…

They’re not used to their own being mistreated, and (most likely correctly) assume if they unit with the other 98.9% of the country the wealthiest don’t have a chance.

When people like this are bucking the system, it’s not a good sign

  • The cops leaked/released a picture of him in jail after he peed his pants, likely from being teased or something.

And multiple of him in the suicide prevention room, which notoriously doesn’t prevent suicides, and is complete 24/7 isolation with only a weird smock.

It’s not to prevent suicide, it’s torture. So he’s likely screaming about how he’s actively being tortured.

He’s rich tho, his lawyer will likely get him bail.

It’s like insane this is the standard and no politician ever wants to address our system.

  • Luigi was from a life of privilege, parents likely firmly in the 1%, and was incredibly well educated in a high paying field.

He had to deal with the American Healthcare system on what was likely the worst possible plan (he read Any Rand) for one injury in 20s and threw his entire life away to merc a single CEO.

It really speaks to the two different America’s the rich and everyone else experiences. Like, it gets said all the time the wealthy couldn’t live like an average person. But they really can’t.

It’s a big reasons conservatives hate any kind of education and neoliberals are fine with shit k-12 and unaffordable college so onlly elites afford it. They both benefit from a large poor working class, and that’s easier when they can’t figure out what’s going on and have been treated like shit since they were kids.

Which is stupid because I is largely random. Who knows how many Einstein’s were born in poverty and never had a chance to learn shit?

It constantly drives me crazy that the Dem party just kinda forgot about education.

  • Eh, it’s not really a “deck builder” like people think.

Like, it sounds weird because there’s literally cards and you select a deck for each player…

But just move past the cards/deck and think of it as a loadout and selecting what abilities you want each character to have. And the upgrade system really lets you fine tune what abilities you can use.

It’s a small piece of the gameplay, but the randomness it forces rather than just always using OP moves gives it a lot of replayability.

So, I don’t think the card mechanic was a problem other than turning people off before they tried it. I think it went free on PSN a while ago, and I was really hoping it would make it take off.

  • We should have all immediately realized he was a right winger because he didn’t have his chin diaper over his nose…

But yeah, it was definitely this guy. Maybe he wanted to get caught, but apparently since back surgery all his friends said he spiraled and went crazy. But he’s from an insanely rich family and had every opportunity in life.

He faced his first bit of adversity and just lost his shit over it.

  • Also a man of fine literature apparently…

From Mangione’s review of Ted Kaczinski’s book:

Clearly written by a mathematics prodigy. Reads like a series of lemmas on the question of 21st century quality of life.

It’s easy to quickly and thoughtless write this off as the manifesto of a lunatic, in order to avoid facing some of the uncomfortable problems it identifies. But it’s simply impossible to ignore how prescient many of his predictions about modern society turned out.

He was a violent individual – rightfully imprisoned – who maimed innocent people. While these actions tend to be characterized as those of a crazy luddite, however, they are more accurately seen as those of an extreme political revolutionary.

  • It’s a massive stretch to believe that they just pick some random guy and plant a murder weapon, fake ids and a manifesto.

    Not really.

It’s not “the murder weapon” it’s a basic bitch p80 and a silencer. Maybe it’s the murder weapon, we don’t know yet.

And a fake ID isn’t great evidence too, it doesn’t have his name, or maybe even his actual picture. It could have been found in the backpack, along with a manifesto.

Like, I’m not saying it’s a framejob, but you’re acting incredulous that anyone could believe this could be a frame-up. To me it’s less likely he’s just going to a random McDonald’s with all that stuff on him.

It’s certainly possible, even plausible. That’s different than saying it is, which seems to be the argument you’re trying to have.

What is the benefit to finding a fall guy? It’s not going to stop someone else who is motivated to do the same to another CEO.

Because the CEO was under DOJ investigation for insider trading and a civilian suit from shareholders because he didn’t let them know to sell when he did.

The CEO fucked over the rich, and blaming it on this would be an amazing frame up.

Because everyone wants the lie to be true.

Stop acting like real life is boring. Shits been crazy if you haven’t noticed
