In my anarchist defense, it’s much easier to procure a brick than a tank. But if a tank just so happened to be lying around…

I think small drone production will pay off vastly more than tank production in the future revolutionary wars. How many small drones can we make for the same amount of labour as a tank? A lot. And a lot more can be operated simultaneously.

You call yourself “tankies” but every time I wanna post actual tank footage in the News mega I have to spoiler it with a CW?

        Merkavas

Ok, kinda related, but why did they name a fucking tank the Markava? When in Jewish mysticism, merkavas are like… Flaming chariots people ascend up to Heaven on.

Like, at least use the name Merkava for an airplane or a space shuttle or something.

I was very disapointed by that scene. Your “dream bigger” in an Mk32? Bro. Bro. Use your imagination. Get the BFG or the Spartan Laser or something.

In some ways it was such an impoverished vision of dreaming.

i think the diegetic lore is that the dream needs to be as realistic as possible so the target doesn’t realize they are dreaming so they can steal useable intel from them instead of just their jordan peterson grandma pube psychodrama. non-diegetically its a cool aesthetic they are going for, imo a tacky videogame reference would have ruined it. i get ur point about the dreams being weirdly grounded, but at least make it like a jungian archetype collective unconscious magical sword or spear or a normal looking handgun that inexplicably glows and makes 100 meter wide holes when it shoots or something like one punch man making holes in the world.

i love those light wheeled armored vehicles with cannons, autocannons and/or antitank missile launchers on em. periscope visors and hatches and stuff are just so cozy. especially with external remote control machinegun turrets or at least a camera pod. and smoke launchers to GTFO in relative safety. i wanna hotbox an AFV.

Can a truck’s chassis even take the recoil from a 120mm mortar? I’ve been parked next to a 120mm mortar in an M113 chassis before and watched it kick the hull into the ground every time it lobbed a basketball downrange.

I think it’d need some hoist that lowers the baseplate onto the ground, but 105mm howitzers are being mounted on humvees with stabilizing jacks & I’ve gotta assume those generate a bunch more recoil

i wanna look my enemy in the eye (through a periscope). also an autocannon or missile launcher can optimistically take out aircraft. maybe put a big 120mm or less smoothbore in the turret (that can launch missiles also) for direct and indirect fire. plus no reason i couldn’t put a mortar/drone team in the back instead of a standard infantry squad. armed trucks will always be cool tho i just want more hatches and periscopes around me personally. otherwise if ur going lightweight and indirect put whatever weapon system or drone launcher you want on a dune buggy i say. you just can’t hotbox a sandrail as well.

Every comrade deserves a tank but no one trusts people who auto-lock adc / dps, thus we go without and either have two hyper carrys, or it’s a slow tortuous death and the auto-lock adc is 0 - 11 and the ‘troll’ adc who went 2v1 in the wrong lane was something like 8 - 4 - 6 (I was the troll, I trolled because they took the wrong battle spell)
