I don’t think I was going overboard either, it’s not like I made it the constant focus and obsessed about it while we were there, but I don’t think it’s ridiculous to take a minute or two and have a quick discussion on how to act/react just in case. It’s like knowing where the fire exits are, a little foresight can give you some peace of mind.
