Here’s the whole thing. It’s best Christmas special ever. Here’s the theme summed up at the end as a trailer. It’s fucking fantastic

Wyrd Sisters is my problematic fave. The voices and designs have permanently altered how I imagine the characters. Unfortunately, like most Discworld adaptations, the pacing is ludicrous and the dialog is too faithful to the book, to the point where you can’t actually follow what’s going on unless you already know the story.

It’s one of my favorite Discworld books, and definitely my favorite of the live-action movies. Although I haven’t gotten around to watching the recent BBC The Watch show, maybe that’s better.

The only similarity to The Watch books is the names of various characters, most Discworld fans I’ve talked to about it disliked it.

I’ve personally got serious misgivings about how they didn’t adapt any of the stuff going on with the dwarves and gender identity.

It’s very odd right? Cheery’s story was one of my favorite character arcs in all of Pratchett’s books. I’m not sure exactly what they were aiming for, like alright cool casting a trans woman but the character doesn’t have anything to do with the actual themes of gender identity from the books.
