If the initial push into France fails I’m pretty sure the nazis are deeply fucked lmao. I suggest opening 13 more fronts, that always seems to work.

As for how to win the Iraq war, I would do a billion 9/11s. This is from Saddam’s perspective, right?

The Nazis literally could not have ever won WW2 and anyone who argues against that is way too vested in learning about Nazi campaigns specifically

I think it’s the closest you could get to historical determinism. The only way for the Nazis to win was for them to not be Nazis. They lost the war the moment they started it. Germany was doomed even if they never went to war because fascist economics will demand that they do. The whole thing was a fuck because it was fundamental to their ideology.

There’s some scenarios where they could have maybe gotten a draw (like forming an alliance with the US and UK to invade the USSR), but it would have still left them worse off than…not being nazis.

forming an alliance with the US

Probably best case scenario for chuds. They’re both ideologically aligned anyways, and there’s a chance they figure out how to make a nuke before the Soviets

The same modern bazingas that believe billionaire vampires will personally invent miracle tech that’ll undo the consequences of their own actions also tend to believe that nazi wunderwaffen was that close to turning everything around.

They won against France only because Allied generals thought it was a good idea to stick their neck into an obvious trap, and then German generals decided that they were absolute geniuses and could win whatever they want.

Yeah it turns out it really easy to win battles when you just surprise attack unmobilized neutral countries. When countries become mobilized and ally against you, horse carriages and bolt actions no longer cut it.

Dont know about that. Elon would never think to use a train to transport his vehicles with their own wheels. He’s going to make a bigger cybertruck (cymi-truck) for you to use on the uberloop.

He did claim that it would be easy to make actual combat vehicles out of ZYBERTRUKKKs, so I suppose those fall more into the category of the many, many “wunderwaffen” grifts that were being floated around the Fuhererbunker near the end of the war.

No, France was already completely mobilized by the end of 1939, combined forces of France and Britain were stronger than German army, but their military leadership managed to send most of the army straight into encirclement in May 1940. Germans expected a major but limited victory, not a complete destruction of main Allied force, which happened only due to monumental blunders.

telling that all of these are reactionary daydreams and fantasies, and there’s no progressive alternatives offered or discussed. Here are some of mine:

What if Lincoln had picked a radical abolitionist as his VP and after his assassination there was a massive anti-southern aristocracy crackdown to enforce reconstruction?

What if Kruschev didn’t win the power struggle and instead Molotov did? What if the sino-soviet split never happened because Kruschev didn’t get into power and immediately start shitting on and dismantling socialist achievement?

What if Stalin didn’t stop at Berlin? What if the USSR discovered nukes before the west?

What if Lenin was not shot and didn’t have health complications resulting from that?

What if the Spartacus Revolt was successful and the German Revolution joined with the USSR?

What if Napoleon defeated the British at Waterloo? What if Napoleon allied with the Haitians and revolutionaries of the new world instead of turning them into enemies? What if he supported a Haitian-African American take-over of the Louisiana territories?

I learned that the hard way with my beta readers with my own work.

“Why is this so political? Can’t it just be about a war with piloted robots?”

“The main character needs to have her naked body described in detail during a mandatory shower scene.” (the character was a malnourished minor) libertarian-alert

“This is a butchering of the Ramayana. I am insulted by this sloppy portrayal of it.” (the Ramayana was mentioned, yes, but it’s a total fascist wet dream of a story and I deliberately dunked on its ideals in favor of the much more nuanced, thoughtful, and worthwhile Mahabharata)

Even the Mahabharata is like a thorough endorsement of Patriarchal power structures but it’s what makes mythology and its fuzzy ironic (ambivalent?) relationship with its historical context so interesting

Yes, yes it is. Even after considering how ancient and grounded in patriarchal caste systems it always was, I’m nonetheless deeply impressed by how it plays out in the very long story. There’s even a fairly-recent treatment written by a late 1800s writer that gives Draupadi a lot more agency and it was so good that some later theater treatments worked that addition in.

I don’t mean the modern concept of corporatism merged with a perpetual war economy. I use the term loosely for the mythological roots of typical fascist ideology: the idea of purity, especially purity in a patriarchal sense where a woman held captive by “impure” enemy forces must painstakingly, exhaustively, and perhaps even dangerously prove her “purity” to the patriarchal power. The sheer disposability of the armies at Rama’s disposal, Rama’s own ubermensch-like portrayal, the seemingly unchallenged militaristic pagaentry and absolutism strokes of the story are also what I meant by that.

The current right wing political powers in India invoke the Ramayana fairly regularly, and even if they don’t have the exact uniforms that were around in WW2, yeah I call that a fascist movement.

One of the beta readers that agreed to read a very early draft of the first novel of my trilogy requested exactly that.

He was in his 60s. He had an adult daughter nearly my own age at the time that had children of her own. He called the naked body description “an inevitability in the genre.” He left a punitive middling review, unasked for (I didn’t ask him to review the final work), probably because I stood firm and didn’t describe a malnourished teenage refugee girl’s naked body. agony-4horsemen

The soviet union would have to not exist for the nazis to win, I think. Even without allied forces drawing german war materials away from the eastern front, there’s no way they coulda beat the red army, I’m pretty sure.

Also though the nazis were gonna invade places that would bring them into conflict with the allies anyway, lol lmao
