    I for one am hoping that we do get a nuclear winter. Great way to balance out global warming.

      Nuclear winter is more about dimming than cooling.

      Or in other words, it wouldn’t offset temperatures that much, but would negatively impact plant growth/farming and thereby lead to global food shortages.

        I’m not tempted to test the theory in order to find out. Either way, the sudden collapse in human life would put enormous downward pressure on carbon emissions. Can’t burn gas if you don’t have anyone left to pull it out of the ground.
