  • The origin of the police in the US was a group hired in a state by the governor to return slaves to their slave owners.

Then they were contracted to protect the properties of the wealthy slave owners when there was a revolt about capturing slaves (some who were “free men”),and they put down that revolt with violence.

Since then, police have been conscripted to protect wealth from the lower class, by the wealthy. That was, and has been their main purpose in the US. It is not to protect and serve, that’s just a slogan they made up out of thin air and has no legal backing or requirement.

They exist for the wealthy, to stay wealthy and protect their interests/property.

Before the police, we had US Marshals, and that worked great. But they wouldn’t go after slaves for slave owners, so they invented the police.

Edit: I’ll include an article that talks about some of this.

  • That was much later. Up until that point, Röhm, the General of the SA at the time, was a “constitutional loyalist” who didn’t help or hurt Hitler.

Then Hitler made up a conspiracy that Röhm and about 300 of his loyalists were going to commit a “coup”, and staged a overthrow of the German Military during Röhm’s Honeymoon, a day or two after he got married.

Of course, the rest of the German people were ok with that, because he outed Röhm as gay, and had already done well to turn the people against Homosexuals in the country. That combined with the lie that Röhm was about to depose Hitler, and he succeeded in a flawless execution of 300 top military leaders to seize complete control of all facets of German operations. Presidency from Hindenburg, Military from Röhm, and his Chancellorship he got at the voting booth.

That’s all to say I have no faith in our military preventing a Fascist dictatorship from asserting control over our country.

At no point in history has that seemingly happened. I would not expect us to set the curve.

  • I was working in the IT admin office for a time while doing software development, and got to witness this guy who came in to have his laptop fixed/swapped; and he said “You guys don’t like, check the laptops for files and stuff, right?”.

And the IT guy was legendary, didn’t skip a beat, was like “Nah, nah, we don’t have time for that crap.”.

As soon as the guy was out of the room, we checked his laptop’s files.

Porn. So much porn. Like, gigs of it, and this was in the early 2000’s when that meant a lot.

We went to HR, and they called him up and reviewed, and SOMEHOW, he dodged the bullet and they retained him. The reason? It was his porn. You read that right. He had gigs of porn of him banging his stripper GF on his laptop, and because it wasn’t “downloaded” porn, he got off.

Then a month later he was let go when he was found taking pictures with his cell phone over the cubicle wall of a female employee without her knowledge.

But I’ll never forget the mental gymnastics that happened to convince HR that porn only meant pictures of “other people” being naked, not himself and his GF.
