Apparently, willingness to go on suicide missions the the main factor in determining if someone is a good SpecOps recruit, not actual ability to carry out the mission. Their actual combat skill isn’t that much better than a regular soldier, it’s just they’re willing to do the shock trooper ass shit that actual GIs will hesitate at.

Fascist movement tend to attract a lot of unstable, adrenaline addict aggro types. A lot of early Italian fascists came from the Arditi, which was basically early Italian SpecOps and were a bit notorious for being super violent and hopped up on stimulants all the time. I’ve worked with a lot of Vets who say modern SpecOps dudes are largely the same, always high on some shit and itching to kill or fuck anything.
