In a rare instance of too much transparency, an Ohio police department released the precise movements of a particular vehicle in response to a public records request.
This isn’t a case of too much transparency. This is a case of too much spying.
Police should be 100% transparent, and shouldn’t collect information about citizens.
I mean, it would have been great for them to vet a request like this at all, but the best way to not release inappropriate information is to not have inappropriate information.
