Yup. The best time to have done it was starting in January, the second best time is now.

Waiting until the convention in August would be a death sentence.

Starting earlier would have been better, but a lot of the analysis I’ve been listening to seems to indicate that it wasn’t until recently that the Biden campaign was able to get a better idea of the who/where/whys of the disengagement and how best to respond. This is what most likely informed the timing of their strategy.

That meant investing early on ground operations and through targeted ads — including in Spanish — attempting to reach voters of color that the campaign couldn’t in 2020; getting the president and vice president in front of local minority-owned news organizations; and fanning out in nontraditional ways, like at bingo halls, local food drives, barbecues and farmers markets.

If only we had less shitty options for the election… fuck Biden, fuck Trump even more for forcing us to vote for this genocidal maniac.

If he really wants my “black vote” in November, he can start by ending all arms shipments to Israel. Watching little brown-skinned babies get blown to smithereens makes me want to stay home on Election Day or vote third party.
