    A spokesperson at the base said an “aviation mishap” was the cause of the accident, though he did not elaborate.

    Typical. Maybe I’m just a better pilot, but the first rule of flying is don’t crash.

      I can imagine a Pentagon spokesman speaking to the media.

      “It was a MCM event.”

      “A MCM event?”

      “Mishap Caused Mishap event.”

      “But what does that mean?”

      "Question asked and answered. Next question…"

        That thing that happens when you try to open a bag of chips gently but wind up having to put so much force into it that the bag tears completely in half and chips fly everywhere can be a real killer when you flying a helicopter.
