If I looked at someone and said “that person is Asian, therefore all humans must be Asian”, I’d look pretty stupid, wouldn’t I? To assume all life in the universe functions the way it does here on Earth is idiotic.

Because that’s one planet. If I looked at someone and said “that person is Asian, therefore all humans must be Asian”, I’d look pretty stupid, wouldn’t I?
