I have been traveling internationally for work for about 10 years now, and every time I go into a global north country I get mistreated because of my nationality. The only reason this is news is because it happened to a white person
The worst part is that I know people who have been dealt a much worse hand and treated way worse, and instead of being reasonably upset with the country that mistreated them, they say “oh well it is what it is”, and then blame it on our country not getting it’s shit together.
