She was so good in The Expanse it makes me want a version of Leviathan Wakes with Avasarala in it.
Is the Wheel of Time show any good? I started reading the series in high school and have wanted a movie or something for a long time. Keep forgetting it exists, because it’s on Prime.
Not book reader, season 1 is pretty meh, season 2 was great and season 3 have been good so far.
As a book reader, it sucks. They did Mat dirty, and they completely ballsed up… well pretty much everything.
As a stand alone series, it’s probably not too bad.
As a reader it’s important to recognize that this is a different turn of the wheel.
I dunno, I feel like that’s a bit of a cop out. There’s more flaws than just the story being a bit off.
The fan produced episode was legitimately better in terms of bringing the world to life in my opinion… And it had a budget of about $8. Amazon should have just given these dudes the money.

Actuallly you know what? Let the Amazon one be another turning of the wheel and give these dudes money to do another one. I’d watch it again. I’ve read the series a dozen times over.
Yeah, I knew nothing about the books and I liked what I’ve seen so far.
Season one is garbage. I gave up halfway through then picked it back up after S2 started.
It’s been a lot better and the deviations from the books have been well thought out and make sense.
Her character, though, is really one dimensional so far - scheming, plotting, do anything to get her way. Like pretty much all the other Aes Sedai, just with less charisma.
I liked season 1 a lot as well.
From what I gather Jellyfin has it too. Mine does anyway.
