One of the men goes for her phone. The other grabs at her hands. Ozturk screams. Shock and fear ripple through her voice. Two masked women join them, tugging at her backpack, peeling the straps from her shoulders. “I’m going somewhere, I need to call someone,” she pleads. “We’re the police. Relax,” one of the men says in response.
They surround her. Then, one by one, they pull their neck gaiters up to cover their faces. “You don’t look like police,” a voice off screen says. “Why are you hiding your faces?” The questions continue, but the figures don’t respond. Instead, they cuff Ozturk, cross the street, and put her in an unmarked SUV. She is gone.
The people in the US had the chance to vote for a MUCH lesser evil. And they chose to vote for fascism. People get the politics they deserve and with trump at least the leader is as rotten as the country at its core. I’m sure this poor lady does not deserve it. May maga folks experience some of the worst years of their lives for condoning racism, sexism, fascism.
MAGAs were already living their most miserable life.
Their goal was always to make everyone as unhappy and unfulfilled as they are, because if I can’t have it, nobody will mindset.
Democrats have enabled this, did you not see the crackdowns and illegal abductions at universities before Trump was elected? These parties are two sides of the same pro-capital fascist coin. MAGA republicans are more openly fascist, but do you see any serious resistance from elected Democrats?
Give me a break. There is no world where a democratic government should be equated to the fascist shit show that’s on display for the entire world.
Tell me one single thing democrats have done to slow down the current administration. Biden even opened up new immigration camps as he was leaving office, they had all but rolled out the red carpet for Trump.
The voters deserve the government they choose. This includes those who abdicated their responsibility by not voting.
