      That’s in New Zealand dollar. Equivalent to about 700 USD.

      Still expensive but not that bad. We in AU & NZ are used to getting price gouged because we have no other choice :(

          The worst are digital goods like games. Even after currency conversion and taxes are accounted for, nobody could explain the extra 10-20% a.k.a. the “f you” tax.

            Yes, that has annoyed me for many, many years. They took the excuse that because NZ is geographically isolated, it cost more to distribute physical products here. Then when Steam came along, the publishers still charged more. Fucking weasels.

        Huh, US$718 converted is NZ$1211. Adding GST makes it NZ$1395.

        That’s more than this site is charging. And on par with MightyApe’s prices. Perhaps they’re showing exclusive prices, or they’re not GST registered yet.

            Oh that makes sense.

            Pricing appears to be US$529 (NZ$830 converted), so at least NZ$1027 including gst. Of course not counting reseller scalp/shipping/markup.
