And yes sometimes it makes me feel powerful, much in the same way a dress cut just right for my body makes me feel powerful or wearing steel toe boots into a business meeting makes me feel powerful.
The problem is the expectation of it. If you can’t treat people with respect whether or not we wear it that’s on you.
