it’s my favourite movie all time. yes it’s corny, yes it’s one giant toy commercial for the new toy line at the time (they literally kill off the old toy line) but I love it. My Dad took me to see it in theatres when it first came out when i was 3 or 4. I cried when the Decepticons boarded the Autobot shuttle and killed Brawn, Prowl, Ironhide and Ratchet. I absolutely bawled my eyes out when Prime died to the point my Dad had to take me out of the theatre. So many characters died. They even drag the corpses of Wheeljack and Windbreaker around with them in the city. a couple years later it was on TV and my Dad recorded it for me on VHS and I wore that tape out over the next 20 years. I’ve seen it so many times, more than any other movie.
I know the film line for line, including all the songs, I quote it constantly “Now all we need is a little energon, and a lot of luck.”
It’s a stupid and corny massive toy commercial. But I absolutely love it.
I watched this movie while flying on magic mushrooms. That opening battle scene blew my mind to the point that I had stop watching the movie.
