Canvases as a visual index/MOC to collect notes on a specific topic. That’s my main use.

I have used them as a cork board for notes when planning writing (much like Scrivener). I’ve even got templates that have images of an index card to type over.

By now companies must know that games based on an IP are almost always trash. Usually the IP-games that are supposedly great turn out to have have average gameplay and marketed hard with advertising spends larger than the development costs ( cough I’m looking at you Spider-Man).

I do the same thing. I’ve tried Kavita and Audiobookshelf and ended up just keeping the books on a network share and then accessing them through Calibre. I am sideloading to a Kindle though.

Absolutely. I held out until Starfield was released and when I played and realised Starfield had been massively overhyped, I let my Game Pass sub run out. Completely agree that buying a couple of great games is a much better idea. I’ve also been picking up older games I’d missed at CEX very cheaply and have enjoyed those much more than anything on Game Pass.

I’ve had that happen to me. Usually a sign that one of the plugins hasn’t been updated for a newer version of Obsidian.

I’m interested in what you ended up choosing to do (if you have).

Have you considered keeping (or tweaking) your current folder system and putting it in an Obsidian vault?

The advantages are that you’d still be able to keep your pdfs as they but also tag and link them. (And if you doing like Obsidian you keep your files untouched.) Obsidian has lots of plugins that would help. Plus the Obsidian community has lots of TTRPG-ers who do some amazing things in Obsidian. And it’s all free.

Yes! I can’t express how dull I thought it was after all the hype and superlative reviews. So disappointing and so… boring. I won’t bother checking out these updates.

I had trouble for a period with my vaults syncing on icloud. It was really frustrating so I looked at other sync methods. (I think it was actually the amount of plugins I was using.) icloud did start working again with my smaller vaults. Now I keep my main vault synced by WebDav on my NAS with a daily backup by the NAS & my little vaults on icloud. Has been working really well.

Didn’t the OP say they wanted to sync across two different devices (and I assumed they couldn’t simply sunc using a shared storage.)

It syncs with Dropbox, Onedrive, S3 and WebDav. It has lots of settings like folders you can ignore, filetypes, etc. A number of experimental fearures that have worked when I tried them. You can set it to manually or automatically sync.

I’ve used it for my main vault using a self-hosted WebDav for over a year and been pleased with its performance. I make sure I keep a regular backup of the vault as well just in case.

I would imagine you could use the Excalidraw plugin as well for making handwritten notes and diagrams, too.

In Doctor Who fandom, whenever the question “Who is your favourite Doctor?” pops up, the majority tend to say the current one. It also seems to be that this is responded to by younger fans/audiences. I wonder if it’s the same with Trek. Because of my age, I’ll ALWAYS prefer classic DW to recent stuff. There’s an element of nostalgia.

My first Trek was TOS and it’s what I think of AS Trek primarily. I wasn’t into TNG at all (because of my age and I’d moved away from stuff like this for a time). DS9 and, particularly, Voyager would rate mire highly as they were on when I was watching TV in the late 90s. I like SNW because it echoes TOS. While I’ll watch other Trek, it doesn’t have the same impact on me.

Is anyone still playing this?

I had a PS3 when I played DCUO and even then it was beginning to lose players.

Saying that, I’d be interested to see what it was like a decade later.

Is there any chance that Amazon could quietly remove this show and pretend it didn’t exist? I feel it was all some terrible dream.

Can someone point the direction of info about the differences between buying Starfield outright or just Game Pass. Is there a difference?

Mostly on a basic kindle. I read pdfs and comic books on an ipad.

I’m waiting for a decent colour eink reader about same size as my kindle with stylus/writing support. From what I can see, they are nearly there… but not quite.
