Well, let’s hope so. Something just doesn’t feel right about the team just now though.

Certainly don’t deserve to. And would likely get annihilated if we did.
Absolutely embarrassing capitulation yet again. Too many mistakes, too many penalties, too many bizarre play calls (what in the name of sweet baby Jesus was that throw to Deebo so he could throw to CMC?!?)
Absolutely infuriating to watch and just not good enough. Are they playing for a good spot in the draft?
I wish to retract the above. What the hell was that??
Two failed challenges are going to cost the Niners when they need to get up the field late on. Frustrating.
Offense may be faltering and full of mistakes and penalties, but godDAMN the defense is getting the job done. What an amazing stop on 4th!
What an effort to make that first down, unbelievable!
Honestly, sometimes I could fucking throttle Bosa… That offside was unforgivable 😡😡
Great recovery from the D though, restricting them to a long FG (which was dispatched impressively to be fair).
Goddammit.
Ha, it would be AMAZING. Someone should buy the movie rights just in case!
Yeah, although Mason has stepped up pretty well. Great to have options!
His name is Brock! And he is Purdy! His name is Brock! The one and only!
Oh what? That’s a blow :-(
Always like to hear a “dagnamit” or a “goldarnit”.
Reminds me of Butters from South Park, he says “Oh hamburgers!”
Never knew that jings crivvens was a placeholder for anything. I’m guessing ”Jesus, Christ and help me God"? TIL!
No, but you said “why do the English pronounce” with no qualification that it’s neither the only way nor the most common way.
You’re right that it does happen, but your title implies it’s the sole or dominant pronunciation.
Am in UK, and yeah, I’ve definitely heard it pronounced that way, sometimes combined with a second name, eg St John-Smith = Sinjin-Smith
I think it’s a thing posh people use sometimes.
I’m maybe misunderstanding you here, but as far as I know there were about 100 times as many people killed in WW2 as in the US Civil war. 60 odd million vs 600,000 or so.
