  • Not too hard to imagine. I have many gay friends and some of them are tough af.

Picture a skinny straight guy (me) hanging out at the local gay bar with friends. I’m there all the time and know all the locals and staff too, great crowd and prob my fav place to hang for a drink.

Some guy I’ve never seen before keeps making moves on me, I just keep moving away. Someone explains I’m straight and he says, “Excellent. I enjoy the challenge.” Eventually he thinks it’s “fun” to poke my bum with a pool cue while I try play. I’ve had enough, “Dude, fuck off! No means no!” and I get ready to fight.

Well, in storms a crowd of some of the toughest guys there and the bartender, it gets so heated and they physically drag him out. A few moments later, one of my friends comes back in and asked if I’m okay. I am, it was no big deal. But he says that’s not enough. Goes back out, they drag this guy back in, force him to apologise—he’s sobbing big time—then drag him back out again.

The walkway off the street is painted as a giant pride rainbow, and apparently everyone’s favourite part was slamming him down on there and saying he’s never welcome here.

So, yeah. Don’t fuck with gay people. Not to mention some of the much older fellas have taken huge beatings back in the 70s fighting for their rights and they’re tough as nails.

  • Most people are like that. It’s really normal to have views from all over the spectrum, not all from one side. Many libertarians maturely face the conundrum that they will always fight for the liberties of others, even if they personally or morally disagree with them. And I’m talking about actual libertarians, not the US “libertarians” their media has.mislabelled and confused.the nation by basically redefining that term to somethung entirely different.

I don’t think you understand that, like always with the same old small minority of vegans that go out there being cruel to people, these posts are reactive to recent poor behaviour. For this reason, it’s unusual for anyone to empathise with these types of people, regardless of ideology, unless you are in defence of their antagonising of others; which is fine, just don’t be surprised by the ongoing discourse not being in favour of that position.

Apparently lol. I think daniskarma is just looking for a public stoning. Obviously the vast majority of Xitter users are not there to engage in US politics and be placed on the political spectrum.

This is what happens when people circlejerk too much, they make insincere claims like that and get updoots. They’ve trained themselves to lash out at anyone.and.anything they don’t like. Hell, I bet you’re getting shit for using Xitter.in other replies… Edit: Yuuuup!

I’m into cars. They all have personalities and behaviours. I often see cars and think, “When it rolled out of the factory on its first day, did it ever imagine that one day it would be like this?”

“What am I going to be when I grow up?”

“You’re going to ferry an old business man off his estate twice a month, then be sold to an Uber Black driver that won’t look after you so you’ll blow blue smoke and eventually be sold to a scrap yard for parts.”

    “Oh… 😔”

“And what about me? What will I be?”

“You’re going to have three 122mm rocket launchers strapped to you and you’ll help liberate a nation.”

    “…😲”
