From a sample size of one other commenter, you will be employed for 1 year until they can’t find enough for you to do and have to let you go.
Not usually. I’ll add a bit next time to see how I like it!
We need to expand the meme!
Hmm I don’t think you have to make a sacrifice to yourself, but you should probably buy yourself a sweet treat once a month just to be safe.
Ohh my only guess was herbal tea (at first I thought maybe a bone broth but they didn’t look sturdy enough for bones).
I see some news about it but my work just upgraded ours recently and they still have it! Must be the version right after. RIP trackpoint.
:( RIP if so. My work recently upgraded to a newer thinkpad and they still have it. I don’t think I’ve ever reached for it though.
Seems like you chose wisely! I kind of want you to choose a dell for science next time, but it would definitely be against your best interests according to the laws of physics that mysteriously underly this phenomenon.

Did they ask you to make a western union transfer in order to secure your application?
Had to look it up, the version with a handle killed me
I love stew! It’s important to cackle like a witch as you add ingredients to your stew pot.

The proportions depend on your batch size and preferences and can be pretty flexible but for a medium pot or a spaghetti pot that’s about 1/3 full I usually use 2-3 medium russet potatoes, 1-2 yellow onions, 3-4 celery stalks, a handful of carrots (2-3 fresh ones), 2+ bay leaves. Everything else to taste. Add salt last after you’ve added vegetable broth or water to ~2 in above the soup contents and brought to a boil. Simmer for about 20 min.

Been catching up on All Creatures Great and Small (Masterpiece on PBS) to counter the world’s chaos.
I still support the Vichy comparison, great take
Yeah classic brain drain scenario if they really do gut the NSF. Most academics draw public funding for projects even if they work at private institutions. Most of the good ones have opportunities to leave to do the same thing overseas less a couple of the US-specific humanities.
…collapse of the longstanding institutions of a great democracy…
Yeah a ‘great democracy’ that was designed to serve landowners and merchants and scans through to make sure huh, yep, still seems designed for landlords and corporations.
I’m predicting a colosseum fight or something for that america’s anniversary celebration executive order. Trump loves the UFC/WWE
