Not having GNU as a compiler isn’t always a positive, cause it can break some things, like appimages for example. If an appimage is compiled with GNU it won’t run without some translation layer or something.
Best option though. Chromium browsers are all subject to google’s wrath, and there are plenty of Firefox forks to go around. If you don’t like vanilla Firefox, try Abrowser, available on Trisquel GNU/Linux, a fully libre GNU/Linux Distribution as well as from the Arch GNU/Linux User Repository.
im pretty sure i’ve used his drivers one time or another across my older macbooks or in one of my usb cards. RIP to Larry, I’m sure the linux community will miss his amazing contributions.

All that to say, alpine should probably stay on servers
Me who has a totally moddable switch but doesn’t want to fry it with a defective RCM jig
It’s just slightly less bad cause it requires a chromium based browser
But it’s the fourth most popular browser according to your chart. Considering there’s probably 2 billion browser users, that’s something in the ballpark of 40 million users. 20 if you say 1 billion.
yeah it just won’t let me in on firefox at all, i had to use chr*mium 🤮 in a vm to get in
Doesn’t for me for some reason… I change to chrome on windows and just get an “Oops something went wrong…” I think it might be because I forgot my password and tried like 10 of them so it locked me out, however.
