Having just watched it last night, I had the same gripe as you did regarding the titan changes coming undone, but now I think it kinda works well with the shift in tone we get when it’s revealed that despite the events that took place, the cycle is doomed to continue.

There’s a real sense of optimism after the fight that I think is actually pretty important to one of AoT’s messages about how even if we’re trapped in these awful cycles, there are moments within those cycles where things can be good and worth living for.

It’s true that you’ll probably see something unpleasant on public transit once in a while but most folks aren’t going to share the experience of someone who is literally tasked with engaging with and managing the people causing problems on the bus.

It’s unfortunate though because in my experience transit feels a lot more pleasant when there are at least a decent amount of people riding with you. When people start to feel unsafe and stop riding, it can drive further people away if they have other transportation options.

Nice setup, I’m SUCH a sucker for a white j bass. Even looking at it makes me wish I were better at the bass.

I think I probably ran consistently for at least 3 years before signing up for a race ever occured to me, haha. I think I eventually signed up for a Thanksgiving 10k, and while I was very comfortable with the distance, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing in terms of race day logistics. I was home from college at the time and I had forgotten my running shorts so I ended up running in my brother’s sweatpants which were A) pants and B) much too large for me. Additionally, I had not put together that I wouldn’t have a place to store anything and had brought a drawstring bag with me from the car so I ran the whole race with that bouncing around behind me, pants billowing in the wind 😂

It would actually be an incredible power move to gig with a sweet guitar covered in smudged signatures from a famous band that you don’t really know / have an appreciation for. Still, I’m glad it made its way to you, thanks for sharing!

Thank you! I initially was planning on swapping them out for more traditional jazzmaster single coils but I fell in love with the sounds you can get out of the these. I mostly play indie and powerpop type music and they’re perfect for that

In a surprise twist, the pickups in the J Mascis models are constructed more like p90s than typical jazzmaster pickups, with bar magnets along the bottom and the adjustable screw pole pieces. Guess they figured jazzmaster pickups weren’t confusing enough people as is! 😅
