It’s part of a 10b5-1. Was it premeditated months in advance? Do they just need a quarterly hit of cash to make payments on their yachts? Who is to say?

“There were certainly things we could’ve done to test it and actually fire it. They would’ve been very time-consuming and very costly,” Mike Hansen, the company’s head of navigation systems, told Reuters in an interview on Saturday. “So that was a risk as a company that we acknowledged and took that risk.”
What insane copium to post hoc justify not verifying your multimillion dollar machine works before crashing it.
The thing I think people don’t think about is it’s really expensive to change your manufacturing process. The transition overseas isn’t just about labor costs, but because you are rebuilding the factory anyways it’s a chance to switch over to a cheaper manufacturing method. You get what you pay for and cheaper methods tend to have cut corners. You can buy high end stuff from China, it’s not like iphones are made there or anything…
There’s a reactionary QBC youtuber, AvE who mostly disassembles power tools and examines the quality of construction, components, and manufacturing methods. He has a teardown of a “Juciero” the $1000 juicer with DRM which is how I found him. He whines about “Chinesium” in the Chinese manufactured tool brands but there’s other “American made” tools on his channel using similar lower-end manufacturing techniques or cutting similar corners.
There’s an interview with Vijay Prashad that comes to largely the same conclusion about superhero movies.
Don’t forget how ableist they get if you disagree with them.
This is just a gamer (who btw farms montages in low rated btb games) ranting about Trueskill2 based on an out of context paragraph that in context with the rest of the model of skill they are trying to approximate, your teammates’ skill doesn’t really affect your change to win/predicted stats in a given match.
If you want, they have talked about the actual algorithm that then attempts to match players based on their rating. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FoG4Jtpebs
It biases towards matches it thinks will be a fair fight between both teams with bounds on the max skill diff between the best and worst players between both teams. And they adjust these bounds with player population throughout the day so you can get into matches quickly. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/project/truematch/
What no ideology does to an mf. Meanwhile, as a tankie who watches 90 Day Fiance I can tell you how the show opened my eyes to the feminist critique of suburban hellscapes that no sucdem biketuber has ever considered.
I don’t even know who this article is for. My boss who subscribes and reads this crap didn’t give me a raise, I didn’t receive one, and all the big bourgeois did layoffs. Who tf is getting paid more yoy that they need to gaslight and mald over?
Powell explicitly stated last year unemployment was too low. Interest rate raises and layoffs have rebuilt the reserve army of labor specifically to suppress your ability to move jobs and seek higher wages, even in the labor aristocrat jobs.
I think growth is tapped out. Most companies have turned purely to rent seeking behavior and chasing down pennies. Eg the Netflix account sharing changes, Adobe licensing, YouTube moving to freemium model, Twitch ad spam, airline “upgrades”. This isn’t behavior you engage in unless your monopoly is tapped out.
Boss makes a billion, I make a buck. That’s why I don’t give a fuck.
Do they actually keep up with cost of living tho?
My thoughts exactly. Society will have radically changed before these AIs radically change society.
This sounds orders of magnitude more productive than being called misogynist by Neera Tanden at 3am for suggesting she is trying to pull the ladder up behind her.
The core of these bureaucratic machines have intellectually disintegrated. All the incumbents climbed the ranks during “the end of history”, the apex of Amerikkkan power. When it could say whatever and bomb whomever without repercussion. Now these cretins have to deal with the opposite. A world with opposition.
There’s such vitriol in media, which trails White House opinion, for the realist perspective. As foul as those people are, acknowledging the security interest and rationality of other nations is anathema to this generation of leaders.
The Republican party, the more overtly reactionary of the duopoly, after feeding and nurturing a base of football hooligans has become infested with those same people and now openly litigates whether antebellum slavery was a good for the slaves or not.
The ballots still have blanks even the digital ones. You can vote for yourself. Or Trump or whichever of the duopoly candidates was removed from the ballot in your state.
But it does hurt the perceived legitimacy of the election. I had thought the reason so many stop the steal legislators did a 180 after the capital riots was that owning the libs wasn’t worth endangering bourgeois rule.
This is shortsighted of the duopoly to say the least.
They already do this through their army and navy esports division.
I think it’s supposed to capture the “plight” of straight cishet anglo frat bros as they have to contend with not saying slurs on twitter.
oh god, yes
Those hard working landlords ya know. Also acting like eminent domain doesn’t exist in burger land lmfao
