  • There is something my therapist pointed out to me, who was feeling like fraud about being trans. There is some peer pressure out there on how you have to be to be trans. We are not talking about mean peer pressure, but if you see that bodily transitioning is the way for apparently every trans person, then that must be the way for you too, right? And what if you really dread procedures or meds? Or if you are maybe not super happy with your body, but who ever is? Does that make you less trans? I think it really helps to think of trans as a spectrum and exploring it slowly. And maybe you find your gender identity on that spectrum or you feel role playing etc. is just some good fun. And if you find yourself on that spectrum you can go into character creation and say, I’m fine with the presets or change things up, the result will always be beautifully you.

  • Gender and trans are a spectrum, so maybe your wandering in that plain is your gender identity? Nonbinary, genderfluid and pangender are labels that took me the longest time to grasp, but are what I’m comfortable now with. And also the aspect, that wether you bodily transition or not does not decide wether you wanna use the label trans for you or not. It’s free and one way or the other it’s great to open up that binary system.

  • Don’t know if that is still holding up, but the German ministry of defence put terrorist attacks on the same list as natural disasters in their „Weißbuch“ around 2016. So theoretically we could have, what for historical reason we should never see again: The military enforcing inland. And while in Bavaria climate crisis protesters are held in detention under anti terror law, the picture discussed here could become reality in Germany faster than we might think.

  • My rig inside my sturdy ncase M1 has been serving me well for 5 years. It features a full size GPU (gotta precisely check the size) and water cooling. Also two 2,5 inch drives SSD/ HDD and an M2 stick. 16 GB RAM Intel i5 on an Asus MB. Also it has 2 big and one small fan. Never had any overheating issues.

It fits into a large backpack. Also goes well in a suitcase. Going by car, PC, monitor plus peripherals fit into a collapsible crate.

Tbh it has not traveled as much, since even though it is portable, it’s annoying to unplug everything. It sits on my desk, which is nice for removing the cables. Also for height-adjustable desks.

  • I don’t know the context of your post, but in the fediverse it is part of the netiquette not to judge other people, especially on such oversimplified terms.

Being obese is often not a great experience. I think being told „you can choose not to be a fat bastard“ is already insulting and also insinuating that this aspect of physical and or mental health is a simple matter of choice, which I find to be quite unbearable and very hurtful.

Please take your anger elsewhere. I don’t know what you might be going through right now, but you must find healthier ways to vent this aggression.

Instead of punishing others for their struggles, we can find healthy ways to support one another here.

  • As for Games I can recommend dawn of war (1) including dark crusade and soul storm. They are old, cheap run on every laptop but are still good games. If you play a different faction in all three campaigns, you’ll have learned a lot about 40k.

Also the first Warhammer Space Marine was awesome, if you are interested in being a 2,5m Space Marine with brutal combat skills and hilariously good weapon sound design in the completely wasted world of 40k for a while.

  • I liked the Ciaphas Cane books. They are sort of comedic which fits the very ironic world of 40k nicely from my pov. It’s mostly about the imperial guard, but you learn about ca. 2 other Xeno factions in every book.

Gaunts Ghosts is also nice, but very centred at the Imperial Guard, military and (fictional) tactics and good leadership.

The first three books (and also others) of the Horus Heresy are amazing at showing more irony of 40k and very captivating. Though they are mostly about space marines and their chapters.
