So they are all originally pets that people have had and have either been released or escaped. They have since become “native” as they now fill a niche in the city by flying between Pasadena and Long Beach and surviving by eating the fruit on peoples trees. I have a loquat tree in the backyard of the rental I live in and they flock to it.
Agreed geoengineering is bad science/engineering IMO. You can’t know what the long term effects would be until after its been deployed. The safest bet would be to just ditch fossil fuels but that’s not as sexy.
