I think the biggest reason why F1 won’t do it is because they want the battles to be closer so that viewership is higher. And one more variable that can make a team break away is not what they want (imagine RB with a tyre advantage as well…)
So between that, and not adding more confusion about the compounds of tires for casual viewers, they aren’t going back to multiple tire suppliers any time soon.
