If there’s depth to your work, and you’re true to the ideals you espouse, then people will respect you and connect with that. Maybe on a smaller scale, but to a greater degree, and for longer.

Everyone has forgotten it ten minutes later. That time you partied with a punk band is a memory that sticks with you. It’s not all about reach, it’s about connection.
Or, here’s another way of looking at it.
Man who voluntarily left the ruling party of Israel and remains a part of Israel’s political class quotes Hitler. Not in the way we all quote Hitler to show that a point of view is wrong because Hitler held it, but rather in the way we quote someone like Nelson Mandela or Albert Einstein; to support an argument because we respect the source.
Meaning, Israeli politician respects Hitler.
Israel=Nazis is trending because the Israeli regime is genocidal, just like the Nazi regime that necessitated the creation of Israel, which is tragically ironic. This news piece is just garnish.
The weaponisation of racism in British politics this century is one of the most cold blooded, cynical processes I have ever witnessed. I try really hard to have faith in my fellow man. Then this happens, and the trans panic. They use vulnerable minorities as political footballs, all whilst pretending to be protecting them. Fuck those moral vacuums.
The UK continues to have problems with all kinds of racism in politics. Nigel Farage is the leader of the second most popular party FFS. Anti semitism was sensationalised because it helped the right wing to highlight it. It, and the rest of the racism is still there, bubbling away.
Still. Nice to see this.
The forest of Skund was indeed enchanted, which was nothing unusual on the Disc, and was also the only forest in the whole universe to be called – in the local language – Your Finger You Fool, which was the literal meaning of the word Skund.
The reason for this is regrettably all too common. When the first explorers from the warm lands around the Circle Sea travelled into the chilly hinterland they filled in the blank spaces on their maps by grabbing the nearest native, pointing at some distant landmark, speaking very clearly in a loud voice, and writing down whatever the bemused man told them. Thus were immortalised in generations of atlases such geographical oddities as Just A Mountain, I Don’t Know, What? and, of course, Your Finger You Fool.
Rainclouds clustered around the bald heights of Mt. Oolskunrahod (‘Who is this Fool who does Not Know what a Mountain is’) and the Luggage settled itself more comfortably under a dripping tree, which tried unsuccessfully to strike up a conversation.

Still, you’re not getting it. The commenter is speaking from the perspective of the type of person who would do this. They are doing so to mock that type of person. If you give the commenter the benefit of the doubt, assuming that they are not on the side of the rightwing psychopaths they are explicitly criticizing, then it makes sense.
I’m not “getting myself into” anything. I understand how logic works and what words mean. I read some words about how islamophobia is racism and they were logical. They were at least a hundred times more convincing than your comment. You are saying that the idea that islamophobia is racism is dangerous. That is an extremely bold claim. Would you like to explain that a little?
Calling someone a life sized Barbie is a sexist comment, but writing the comment makes the commenter sexist in the same way that playing the T-1000 makes Arnold Schwarzenegger an android from the future.
Islamophobia is racism. The logic is subtle and inescapable. Read about it.
I think this depends heavily on your circadian type. For me, very little of use happens before around 3pm. This is independent of waking routine.
I think that’s probably true. But the avionics in a satellite are wildly different. And, at least where I work, we use a lot of FPGA.
I’m based in Europe so I don’t know too well how it works in the US, but if you work for eg Airbus space over here, you won’t be working on aircraft or missiles, just space.
You know that defence and space are pretty much the same industry, right? Do you like the idea of working on satellites/launchers? Not for spacex obviously. But there are others. It’s a pretty great career. Best bit is you get to fire the most annoying projects literally into fucking outer fucking space at the end.
You can’t do this with your boss though.
It looks like it given the symbols used. P for pressure, rho for density etc. u-arrow is definitely a vector field, so it could be fluid flow. Otherwise it could be equally anything described by a vector field, like electromagnetism or gravity but they usually have a lot more E and G involved I think. I used to solve these but then I got a certificate so now I don’t have to.
Nobody is blaming the dogs. The humans that bred then to have the instinct to never let go until their prey is dead, they are the bad guys here. It’s a bit like how pugs are fraught with health problems their whole lives because people think their funny faces are cute. Not their fault, but they have to live with it. XL bullies aren’t evil. They’re just doing what their breed does. Unfortunately what their breed does ends up killing people quite often.
Measure it? It’s entirely subjective and therefore isn’t compatible with measurement, obviously.
I think the vast majority of shitty pop songs fade away.
You should look in the mirror maybe. You’re still here, too. Arguing about something that doesn’t matter, against a point you don’t seem to have understood. I guess we’re as bad as each other.
