Corgis, although at the border to a problematic ratio, the breed lines I’m accustomed with are still fine(Europe). Corgis tend to have back problems when not properly prevented their whole life - avoiding downward stairs, restricting jumping or anything in the direction of dog sports made for Aussies, etc. But due to their stockier build they are pretty robust against the typical problems you see in Dachshunds for example. It also helps that they’re not hopelessly mis-bred yet

If I recall correctly there were studies regarding newborn exposition to their first microbiome. It was found that through natural birth the infants were basically automaticallz inoculated with their mother’s microbiome, while those delivered through c section didn’t (found the study! https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5648605/)

However it was hypothesized that this inoculation could be done manually via swapping the inner walls of the birth canal / vaginal walls and then expose the newborn mouth to those swaps.

Long story short - although there are some benefits to a natural birth, in the end the health of mother and child are most important. One part of the mental health of the mother can be the fear of the pain of birth. It’s her and her physicians decision and although as partners the men by their side should be there for her, they don’t get a say in how the circumstances he participated inducing will end (same goes for lesbian / diverse partners although they might not have taken a biological part in the start of the pregnancy).

Für mich ist das Auto notwendig u.A. aus besagtem Kontext, würde aber gerne drauf verzichten. Ich habe nur die Erfahrung gemacht, dass jede Abweichung von “Mein Transportbedürfnis bewegt sich auf minimalem Niveau” es unglaublich schwierig / aufwändig machen. Es ist aber nervig auf ein Auto angewiesen zu sein - darum würde ich auch nie aufs Dorf ziehen wenn ich es mir aussuchen kann.

Rechnerisch korrekt, bis man halt Umstände hat die alles erschweren. Mit meinem Hund sind Mietautos noch mal so teuer, einige Teilautos schließen das direkt aus.

It depends how obsessed you are with it. For my wife and me it’s similar: both paychecks go into the same account, but we split off our pocket money into our own accounts accordingly - although I take a bigger sum in this proportion, if I don’t spend it it’ll just be transfered to an account that is play money for vacation, hobbies etc. And that happens idk every quarter or so

In my perspective IQ only has so many consequences, due to the limitations of the method. Nowadays we know to separate different forms of intelligence and also that transferring skills between those forms can have an impact on overall ‘performance’ . That being said, it can be a good indicator for stuff but as you point out, it’s often misused as divider instead of an accelerator.

Whelp I tried to switch several years ago to PopOS! as daily driver. Everything was fine and dandy until I tried to use the side buttons of my Razer mouse or my Keychron M3. Short story: not plug-and-play-able. This is a non negotiable feature for me. Maybe I’ll find some motivation between the years to tinker again…
