Colonial projects require collaborators like the PA, because without them, it’s entire oppressive structure is at the danger of collapsing. It has to be there, invested with legitimacy, to channel the interests of the local population and to keep them out of armed resistance. It also serves as an “auxiliary force” in security matters, much like the ukrainian auxiliaries during WW2.
It has been the case in many places, Spain took advantage of the “Kurakas” (indigenous communal leaders) that enjoyed legitimacy during their Andean colonization, Britain exploited local rulers in Africa, investing them with powers and privileges, to act as the intermediaries between the colonial state and the colonized peoples, same story in India and so on. When that relation is severed because such figures and institutions are no longer recognized by the colonized peoples, the entire apparatus is at it’s weakest and decolonization becomes very possible.
It’s a tough fight, and some may even believe it’s couterproductive. But efforts must be directed against the PA to undermine it’s legitimacy, it’s nothing but a tool that “Israel” uses to complete their genocide and keep resistance at it’s lowest.
they think they’re on the “blitzkrieg” phase where they’re taking down everyone at the same time except they haven’t even won in Gaza yet
stupidly overconfident but hey, don’t interrupt your enemy while they’re making a (huge) mistake right?
