  • I don’t even believe that half the videos we see are of actual ICE agents to begin with. Without being able to identify them literally anyone that has a convincing enough vest could get away with literally kidnapping whoever they want (which is honestly probably already happening). Those masks they wear are $5 and the vests are about $50 if you get a cheap one, both of which you can buy on amazon. Then all you gotta do is stitch whatever agency name you want onto it within an afternoon. With all these “plain clothes” agents going around in regular cars I guarantee a decent amount of them are just a local racist with an extra $100 and too much free time.

  • A good rule of thumb to avoid an existential crisis is to think to yourself, what were you doing 9 years ago? I was barely 20 and moving out of my parents house and going out on my own for the first time. Seems like it just happened, but then i remember all the life I’ve lived since then and it starts to make a lot more sense.

Time always flies by in retrospect, but if you remember what you were actually doing back then it can help put things into perspective about how long ago it actually was. Like, people always say things like “Skyrim came out like 13 years ago? Where the hell did all the time go!” But then I remind myself that when Skyrim came out I was a freshman in highschool. Not only that, it was almost half my entire lifetime ago. Yeah, I’m old. But I’ve also lived a lot of my life since high school.

Anyway, this always helps me, so I hope it helps you. :)

  • As someone that has been a surveyor on a couple of hospital construction projects, this is more common than you think. Usually it’s fixed before it’s too late and we will literally do a 3D scan of the concrete slabs to show very accurately how flat it is so it can be mended before they move on. For things like apartment buildings the tolerance is relatively flexible within a couple centimeters depending on how large the building is, but for things like hospitals they usually have a tolerance of like less than a centimeter in some cases. What this sounds like to me is that they either knew it was wrong and went with it anyway (worst case), didn’t know their tolerances, didn’t get it verified by a surveyor, hired subpar subcontractor, or the construction company never worked on a project with this kind of scope.

I think they are screwed no matter what. Best case scenario it’s one if the subcontractors they hired for layout that fucked it up. Every other scenario i can think of just seems like incompetence to me. I’m not gonna say they should have just done it correctly the first time because mistakes happen. I mean, half my job was figuring out how to fix something that got messed up. It’s the fact that they didn’t rectify it during the construction process that really fucks them here.

  • I call bullshit on him calling it bullshit. They knew what he was doing as they toted his “waste, fraud, and abuse” slogan like a damn catchphrase every 25 minutes. Not only that but their “big beautiful bill” is doing the exact same thing that DOGE was doing. Call me crazy, but I think this is a smokescreen for more shady shit they are gonna do in the coming weeks or they are using him as a scapegoat so they can keep doing the exact same thing but in the shadows.

  • A good rule of thumb whenever I hear anything about what this administration does in regards to health I try to look at it through the lens of eugenics. They want to get rid of the people they consider “weak” and think that using money to help those that need it to be a waste of money. People with autism, weak immune systems, chronic illnesses, poor people, drug addicts, and pretty much anyone else they consider undesirable and less than human. Also, they consider our tax money as their personal bank account as if the country was a company and our taxes are their profits. Pretty fucked up, but it makes more sense than trying to rationalize clearly irrational behavior.
