The solution is making your own instance. You’ve basically got a copy of your own of everything you follow on the fediverse. If it goes down for a while, messages are indeed queued for a reasonable time. And even if you do miss them, things like comments, up and down votes will act as ‘reminders’
You can make your own instance. Not everybody’s cup of tea, but in the future it will likely become easier. It will only go down when you let it

I care. Sorry to see you go. The fediverse can still grow, I suggest you at least stay to lurk and see. It’s just not happening at the pace we were all hoping for at the time. Is reddit really that much better? You’re not an asshole for being honest
Why is that?
Check out https://kbin.melroy.org as well, it’s a forked version of kbin
No Mbin?
Reddit was slowly but surely becoming a terrible host for our @[email protected] community (direct link.) Then came the final straw, while we went black we held a vote and a majority voted for the community to move elsewhere. We chose for Mbin, which has turned out a to be a great platform, with the advantage of being part of the fediverse.
I’d personally only used mastodon up to that point, I now hardly ever browse reddit
No need to prove it, that’s not my point
Not sure what you mean exactly
Great to hear kbin is back on track, and assumably so are you @ernest. With so many improvements having been made, however, I can’t help but wonder if and how these changes are being made public?
Not just deleted, but yes, or a way to check
One thing I miss in activitypub is a verification system. This is most important for deletion. For example, when something is deleted on one instance, there’s no way of knowing for sure if it will be deleted from other instances as well. An instance being down or malfunctioning can cause deletion to fail with no way to know* and try again for op.
*To know one would have to check every single subscribing instance. Trying to delete an already deleted item is obviously impossible

The landlord will then have to have the drains cleared and hear exactly what they found blocking it. This will improve your relationship with your landlord and they will feel happy that you decided to take revengeful steps against them which don’t really serve any purpose and are just a waste of resources. No way are they going to somehow claim back those costs from you
