Yeah the Otto FAQs are kind of funny… if you are on Otto.de it says:
“Does Otto also deliver abroad?” “No, we only deliver to locations within Germany.”
On Otto.at: “No, we only deliver to locations within Austria.”
And so on… so I have to correct myself: If your country has its own Otto domain / Otto shop in your language, you surely can order there from your country 😌

I’m currently wondering whether this is going in the right direction. I understand that we are boycotting commercial products from the US, which makes perfect sense to me. But as someone who works on FOSS software myself, I wonder if we are hurting the right people by not using FOSS software that comes from the US. I think these are largely people who don’t support Trump.
There is already a solution inside the EU, the shops just have to support it now. “Over the course of 2025, banks will no longer be allowed to charge additional fees for instant transfers in euros. Banks in all 20 euro countries must also offer the real-time service as standard.”
You should mention that Otto is a German alternative FOR Germany. Otto does not deliver abroad. Otherwise you’ll just end up leaving people disappointed.
Just my 2 cents as a web developer… I don’t have any reason to quit Firefox (or Thunderbird). Yes the hole communication about PPA was a disaster and opt out is not ideal, but on the other hand the Gecko engine is so important for the open web. Without Mozilla it will surely die soon. So we end up with Blink and Webkit, both controlled by US big tech companies.
So, is it really such a good idea to penalize Mozilla in the long term? I don’t think so.
If PPA really is unacceptable for you, opt out. At least its a good idea to read about this standard and then make a decision.
