The unfortunate thing with these is a lot of the times they don’t even consult with biologists when considering the placement. Engineers just find the most convenient location / cheapest location to build and think the animals will use it but they often end up in a spot the animals don’t really go to.

Despite there being very obvious game trails just down the highway.

So a lot of them are just expensive feel-good tourist eco green washing type propaganda.

  • What are the ostriches for? Are they on a farm and sold as meat? If it’s a health issue sure let the ostriches live but ban the meat from being sold. Separate them from those that will be sold for meat.

Otherwise what would happen if a zoo had some rare bird catch avian flu? Would they be forced to kill all of the other rare birds in the zoo?

  • I had lower back pain for a while about 12 years ago when I was youngish.

Ignored it for like a week because I thought I just slept weird.

Then one day I asked someone to take me to the walk-in since it was getting worse.

It was a Sunday so they were all closed, but by that time I was starting to shake. Asked to go to the ER.

Once in the ER I’m sweating, shivering and shaking. Doctor takes one look at me and bumps me to the front of the line. Takes me in and immediately says I look like I’m going through septic shock. Puts me on IV antibiotics and morphine for the pain which was incredible at that point.

Apparently I had a UTI which led to a bladder infection and eventually worked its way up to my kidneys and then poisoned my blood. Another week of 1hr per day IV antibiotics pumping through me and I was okay.

If it weren’t Sunday I possibly could have died.

So yeah, probably go see a doctor.
