I’m a lady.

I migrated here from Reddit after getting a sitewide ban randomly, no reason given, no messages telling me what content of mine violated their site policy, and appeals denied and reddit requests ignored. Hello everyone.

  • I wiped out cookies on my phone. Used my son’s Google account he abandoned and made a new reddit account. I will see how long it lasts. Hasn’t been 48 hrs yet. I did modmail them in help about appeal and asked a couple questions about my unique situation. No response but no site wide ban yet, my two accounts still suspended. What gives? Are they teasing me? It’s not shadow banned either. I will just give it time before their bot catches it. Maybe the admins are sitting back and waiting for it to happen. I swear they’re incompetent if they have bots do their jobs for them and ignore users requests and modmails about suspensions.

Now I won’t log into my banned accounts. I’m guessing emails that were associated with banned accounts will be auto suspended. Youtube works that way too. Have a recovery email linked to your email that was used with account that got banned, auto banned. I have different emails, including one from when I was 17 I hadn’t used in years.

Oh yeah and I got two newsletters from reddit about how to get karma and then the second one telling me to get karma.

  • I think this is how i got banned. I used hotel wifi to save on data and I was listening to YouTube and I got on reddit forgetting I wasn’t on mobile data. The suspension happened two weeks later and then my main account got banned because it was connected on my reddit app and logged in with my alt account.

I got kafkaesque banned. Just a generic message you get about multiple repeated violations when you have been suspended before and opened a new account and got caught for ban evasion. Reddit admins ignore appeals and messages about it. They let bots handle it. Even my friend tried to ask them for me in r/help about my unique situation but it got removed quickly.

My only defense is i never recieved any other messages about site rules I broke and no previous suspensions and I used hotel wifi and no other accounts are mine that got linked. They’re supposed to have the 3 strike rule and 4th offense, perm suspension. I never got that.

I didn’t get shadowbanned, I got site wide suspension.

  • I wonder if this law was written to target transgender students but instead it’s now affecting cis gender kids who can’t go by their nick name any more and now teachers are losing their jobs for using nick names on their students they prefer.

Transphobia also affects cis people just like how homophobia can affect straight people because they recieve harassment if they’re mistaken as gay like how my brother faced racism by his math teacher because she thought he was Native.

This would be leopards eating faces if the teacher voted this in and the parents who are protesting.

  • I saw i had a proxy IP but I can’t even help that because it’s automatic and I have no idea how to change it. I’m tech illiterate. I know some places will ban you for a proxy. I’ve gotten that accusation before on a forum and I knew nothing about proxy IP. I only guessed that assumption came from me moving house 5 times in 1 year because I was a young adult. My parents, my own, my aunt and uncles, my ex, then my apartment and we have had to change internet providers a few times for cost. But the mods used that as a scapegoat to blame other issues in me other users did I didn’t do, especially when I got impersonated. Sorry for living lol. Humans move you know and access the internet wherever. Some people use a paid vpn to keep their IP consistent because they access the internet all over because they travel a lot for work.

Maybe I was banned for my proxy UP, who knows. I never ban evaded. I never created a new account to evade a ban. Both my accounts existed before the ban wave. I take website policies seriously. If I am so butthurt by someone, I block them and move on than following them and commenting on their posts or getting into petty arguements.

  • Wait, many users are being banned right now?

I never ban evaded and I don’t know how I would multi bot. Reddit says we can have more than one account just as long as we don’t break the rules. I followed what their policy said. They even say make a new account if you don’t like your username but I’m afraid their bot will just ban you for posting in the same subreddits you did with your other account or if you get baned, your posts on your older account could show up as a ban evasion if one of the mods comes across your older post. I’m speculating this is how I was banned.

I guess shreddit all your comments first before moving onto a new account but what if reddit sees that as you trying to get around the rules and stuff when they said you would need to make a new account if you want to change your username.
