Whenever i search for some somewhat obscure videos, like for an uncommon bass guitar or a highly regional dish, i get recommended horrible videos because the algo gets bored or gives up? I dunno. I was just looking a sound sample for an Ibanez bass guitar from 1974, i didn’t need to see the thumbnail for a youtube short of some guy cutting his face off. No thank you.

Yeah, the knock on effect it had on Canada was real. People I knew who were Proud To Be Canadian were all of sudden Real American Patriots. It was fairly muted where i grew up due to its isolation, but visiting family in bigger towns you might as well have been flying Old Glory and singing the star spangled banner. Some of my cousins signed up for the army within the next month.

For a person that used to host Bad Movie Nights, this question has always stumped me. The kiss of death for any film is it to be boring. Feardotcom might be my nomination for “worst”, because i can never really get through it from sheer boredom, and that sets it apart from other movies that simply faded from memory.

If you want to go the opposite of boring and enter into “would rather take a cheese grater to my skin” in reaction, that goes to Son of the Mask. Loud, obnoxious, unfunny, and just plain unnecessary. It never needed to be made, but it was, and now it’s cursed to haunt the bottom of gas station 5 dollar movie bins forever more.
