An Israeli ground invasion is already a failure. Israel has tried very hard to get Lebanon to invade without success; now they get to re-experience 2006

A war with China is rational, it’s probably the best gamble to continue US hegemony.
Is it likely to work? Not really, but the US losing it’s dominance is completely off the table, and they will take whatever long shot has the best odds. Battle of the Bulge type shit.
It’s not likely. If it were to happen, the two most likely scenarios right now are
A) Israel loses and wildly fires off nukes in retaliation
B) Mainland Russia is invaded by some Eastern European country, as Russia has said nukes are on the table if any attacking state is backed by a nuclear power
A is possible in the long term. B is probably never happening, but you never know.
Is this all from Reuters? I ask because phosphorus shells are pretty common for generating light in night combat, while white phosphorus is a war crime.
Erdogan coin flip wins this time, congratz
One way or another, the end is coming up
Supporting a powerful Israel probably supercedes all other directives for the Middle East. I think US leadership would prefer a war not happen, but they see it as inevitable and would rather heavily support Israel when things kick off.
I still think Israel is surprising them though. There’s no way US intel wasn’t involved in the assassination of Nasrallah but Biden seemed taken aback that Israel leveled a city block without asking
Seeing an Eyup Lovely post on here a bit ago made me do a double take
Spruce Pine is fucked right now, eye of the hurricane went right over. National Guard is already there though so they will be receiving aid sooner than other communities.
Kinda? Western NC has been a mining hub for forever and they aren’t short on quartz at all. You could do it other places but I imagine the startup costs and the relatively poor margins on that kind of manufacturing make it unattractive, at least in America.
I’m a little out of this age range but I feel like my friends kinda grew out of that mindset. Like I knew a guy who wanted to get into real estate a few years ago, but nowadays he’s a firefighter and certified EMS. Maybe it’s a little later than previous generations but most people get their shit together by their late 20s, seems like.
They’re extremely lucky the dam near Chimney Rock didn’t fail, this could’ve been so much worse.
Still terrible though. I used to go to Montreat for family reunions, they’re saying it was wiped out almost entirely. Landslides have entire communities trapped, it’s crazy.
They fuckin better. I know Iran has their own calculus on how to act and when, but it’s rough to see the largest axis of the resistance be relatively passive so far. Hopefully the time has finally come for action.
“Limited ground incursion” lol. It seems like the IDF is aware to some degree that this could go really poorly but the public sentiment is so strongly for it that they’re kinda forced to
Almost certainly the latter but the idea of it is funny. Half-assing it so bad that they think you’re a Chinese agent or something
I remove the tracker portion for my posts, does it matter beyond that?
Putin says that Russia will be updating its nuclear policy to include aggression by non-nuclear states backed by nuclear powers (proxy wars, essentially)
On one hand I definitely see the need for that kind of policy but it is a bit of a moment
Tunnels under rivers require a lot more work since they need to be watertight. I would’ve surprised if there was more than one or two
