Easily one of my favorite games ever. It’s such a good way to relax.
Been testing out iced recently. I wish it had a better documentation, but otherwise it’s pretty cool.
I have one SSD which I use as a data drive between both Linux and Windows. I used to run Steam games from it, but there were some small problems sometimes, so nowadays I just use it as a storage.
Generally it works just fine, but sometimes Windows does something weird with it especially when running updates, so that Linux can’t mount it. During those times I just have to boot to Windows desktop and then come back to Linux and it usually mounts again. If you totally get rid of Windows, I don’t think this will happen to you though.
They are legally separate entities, but why should that affect customers?
Because they are not doing it because of customers, they are more likely doing it for themselves. It’s easier to manage things on a corporate level when the data is also separated similarly as their companies are.
My guess is that they just want to separate GOG and their game accounts from each other because they are easier to manage that way. I think in legal sense GOG is still a separate corporate entity even though it’s owned by CD Projekt.
What even happened to New World? It seemed like a relatively popular game when it came out, but then just disappeared.
Belichick gonna trick himself out of a job at this pace
That’s pretty much my worry. I would be fine if they e.g. release their “official” lutris script or something, because at least then I would trust that they might be willing to fix issues if something comes up. But now that they are pretty much saying that they won’t support Linux in any way, but you might try these solutions on your own risk, it doesn’t really make me want to use them.
Mod Ash mentioned it on Twitter: https://twitter.com/JagexAsh/status/1701861633532792883
Mod Korpz tells me it’s built from tech licensed from another company. Inserting Linux support into it is apparently a considerably bigger ask than it sounds :(
I don’t have a Steam Deck so I can’t really help you with that, but I still find it funny that Jagex somehow decided to make a security improving Jagex Launcher for a multiplatform game, but then the launcher doesn’t support Linux and the method they suggest doing is running some random Lutris script from a random github repository which doesn’t have any kind of support from Jagex’s side. Apparently they can’t even get it to Linux because they are using some kind of a licensed tech that doesn’t support Linux at all.
Yes, I don’t disagree with anything you said. The original comment before OP edited it said that the nordic countries don’t have capitalism which was something I found highly misinformative.
I guess by that logic the socialista are also the problem because last time they were the ones who invaded us.
If we are talking about power hungry people, I’m much more concerned about the authoritarian power hungry leader right next to my country currently at war with another european country than some hypothetical power hungry billionaire who could try to harm our society.
No lol. Also the Finnish health care system is already heavily a mix of public and private sectors because of how our social security system and occupational health care system works.
Who are these special “capitalists” you are referring to? Majority of Finnish citizens and literally every major political party here?
What the hell are you talking about. The nordic countries constantly rate as one of the most economically free countries in the world. Capitalism is everywhere in the nordic countries, but it’s also used to support comprehensive welfare state.
And yes, I come from the “happiest country in the world” so I guess I can literally see that we are quite capitalistic.
Edit: it seems that the original comment was edited so my comment looks kinda unnecessary now
I always found it kinda sad that Destiny has a lot of lore, but if you are a new player / returning player you can’t experience the lore that you have missed because it’s just removed from the game.
Every now and then I just force myself to use different browsers just to see if I like them more or if there are some features I like. For now I have always returned to Firefox because it just works for me best, but I have also really enjoyed Vivald when I have tried it and I could easily also use it as my main browser.
Earlier this year I had a months long issue where my desktop image would freeze if I set its refresh rate higher than 120. I thought my GPU was breaking up, but I finally found a post on the Nvidia forum where someone else had the same issue and realized that it was because of the newest driver. It took months for Nvidia to fix that. Two months ago I just decided to switch to AMD and sold my Nvidia card and haven’t had any issues with AMD so far.
The older I get, the less I want to learn new competitive games because I just don’t have time anymore. It’s just nice to go back to something familiar every now and then.
