Thank you. I’ve slept for almost like 48 hours in the past 3 days and actually woke up feeling good today.
How has long Covid affected you?

Unfortunately, I don’t have insurance so I don’t currently have a GP. But oh numbing spray! I forgot all about that! I’ll have to get some of that. Thank you for the recommendations!
If you haven’t tried It takes two or split fiction, I highly recommend them. My boyfriend and I played through both and enjoyed them immensely.
I was literally going to look into getting my vaccine this week… Then I got Covid. So sitting at home feeling miserable. Only positive thing is while its been awful, it hasn’t been as awful as the other time I got it and almost ended up hospitalized.
My boyfriend and I are literally stuck at home right now with covid. We’re also aware of quite a few cases popping up around us. At this point, the only way we’ll know of surges are due to word of mouth.
I unfortunately had a cat pass away from a vaccination. Off the top of my head, I can’t remember which one. He just had a bad reaction to it and was gone the next day. I’ve grown up with many cats and that was the only one that ever had a bad reaction. Even after that happened, all cats I had after him still went straight to the vet and got all their vaccinations.
It was so immensely sad, but it didn’t prevent me from continuing to vaccinate my animals.
I also have covid with awful throat pain right now. I feel miserable. The last time I had covid I had throat pain so bad I couldn’t speak and could barely eat. I’m so excited that I may be experiencing it again…
Also throwing out Zenni as an option. I’m on the verge of coke bottle sized lenses and can find many frames from them.
Please don’t for those of us of the non white complexion. I’m already scared enough as it is.
I would just like to say that 70k people isn’t a small town. I live in a town with 9k people in it. Now that’s a small town.
I love ReStore. I’ve had some lovely finds there. Same with Goodwill. Found a beautiful wooden dresser built in 1998 there last week in perfect condition. I wish I could use Facebook marketplace, but I refuse to use Facebook. I wish I had an app like Kijiji to use instead.
I’m a millennial homeowner that had no assistance from my family and bought in 2022.
Honestly though, I think luck is the only reason we got our house. We met the previous owners and they wanted to make sure the house was going to another couple or family that would actually live in it and call it home, not someone planning to rent it out. We put our bid at asking price (even though our realtor was pushing for us to go higher) and they accepted it the next day.
We bought ours in 2022 at a 4.15% rate with only 5% down and since I dealt with a local lender, got a conventional loan with no PMI. Thank God. The PMI was my biggest worry, but we were very fortunate.
Also found a house for under $300k, but it was built in 1952 and we’re a little in the boonies. We have a Walmart nearby and some fast food, but that’s it. We both work 20 miles away in the much larger town. And then we’re about an hour or so (depending on traffic) from a major city. So we had to make some concessions in order to even get a house. Though I love being in a small quiet neighborhood and being able to live away from the bustle of a larger town, but it does have drawbacks.
I’m in this picture and I don’t like it.
One of the most honest things I’ve seen all day.
I’m so sad about lemm.ee!!! That was the first instance I joined! That was my home for, wow, 2 years. But I’m still sticking with Lemmy. Just had to find myself a new home base.
Yes Apollo!! I used it on my iPad, but boost was and now still is my go to. As soon as Boost was done, I jumped to Lemmy. I wasn’t sure if I would stick around in the beginning, but I’m so glad that I have. I have thoroughly been enjoying my time here
I saw koalas and immediately came here looking for this copy pasta. Thank you. This makes me laugh every time.
