Nice! They’ve been making good progress. Only thing that’s preventing me from making deadlock my main moba at this point is the lack of quicker more casual modes. Surely it will get some eventually
I legitimately did this when I was homeless for about a year. Cigarettes were a forum of currency and I always had one in my hat or behind my ear, I would just tell people hey it’s my last one if they asked for it as well
If that happened to me I’d not want to deal with that again either.
What has made arch work for me is BTRFS filesystem with the grub module grub-btrfs. It gives you BTRFS snapshots you can load into at grub and with snapper and auto snap it will automatically create a restore point before updating.
It’s worked flawlessly and thanks to BTRFS black magic the snapshots don’t take up much storage space. I also recommend BTRFS assistant in the aur if you don’t mind using a gui.
If you want an easy arch setup + friendly community forums + easy BTRFS setup I can’t recommended EndevourOS enough.
Depends on the person. If it’s just someone that uses a PC for the browser and doesn’t want to learn anything something like popOS or mint would do. If they are ok with learning some Linux/Arch basics, BTRFS + EndeavorOS + KDE is hard to beat and would be my first recommendation
This is a bad take lol. You can be charged with manslaughter if it’s an accident and murder if you were trying to kill someone with your car.
Blatantly wrong takes like this just increase the cognitive dissonance between the anti car movement and everyone else.
I’ve started with ubuntu/mint and it was always a matter of time before something broke then i tried everything from then all the major distros and found that I loved being on a rolling release with openSUSE Tubleweed (gaming and most new software works better) and BTRFS on Fedora (BTRFS let’s you have boot time snapshots you can go back to if anything breaks).
After some research I found I can get both with arch so installed arch as a learning process via the outstanding wiki and have never looked back. Nowadays I just install endevourOS because it’s just an arch distro with easy BTRFS setup and easy gui installer was almost exactly like my custom arch cofigs and it uses official arch repos so you update just like arch (unlike manjaro). It’s been more stable than windows 10 for me.
Tldr: arch let’s you pick exactly what you want in a distro and is updated with the latest software something important if you game with nvidia GPU for example.
Manjaro bad.

My guess is that it’s the share holder class pushing them to not allow WFH, due to also being heavily invested in business real estate combined with middle management knowing they could function with less of or without them.
Title is a bit missleading. He’s also setting out $3billion for homeless facilities. Better than nothing, he’ll probably criminalize homelessness even more than it already is at the same time.
I doubt the $3 billion will do much to reverse the damage California has done with their prison machine, cost of living crisis, and under funded public services. Unless they address the underlying issues the problems are not going to go away.
It’s important to make a distinction between drugs that cause substance addiction (alcohol, opioids, tobacco) and things that trigger some people’s behavioral/impulse addictions, Cannabis, food, sugar, porn.
I find it quite odd anyone would have them in the same category, even if you are not or have ever been a durg user.
This is all a result of the absurdly idiotic chicken tax + American automobile companies refusing to build small trucks
