I actually am very well acquainted with this. I did data analysis for the corrections system for almost a decade. Worked with universities, and other government offices, and bodies, on this subject, and it’s surrounding subjects. I honestly know more about this than almost anyone who’s profession never crossed into studying and analyzing this subject.

This is not the place to be having an academic conversation on the material conditions that drive poverty, and centuries of intentional disenfranchisement, and how those result in criminal behavior, problems with education, recidivism, impulse control, calculated violence, and the endless other factors that play into this situation, many we are just starting realize even are factors.
