Here’s the thing, they turn to these audacious conspiracies because nothing else makes sense to them. They see constantly in the news bad things happening but no consequences. Rich guys break the banks but no one goes to jail. Poor guys do all the work but never make ends meet. It makes no sense. And the media always explains away things in such a nonsense way that they latch on to the first thing that makes them say yeah that makes sense. It’s a secret club of rich people called the masons or Jews or the illuminati or whatever.
To you and I, the problem is obviously capitalism. The system never fixes the problem because its in it’s best interest not to address the problem. The people know something is wrong but they are always diverted away from the truth to something else. I suggest you find a conspiracy theorist, explain capitalism and show them the answer has really been there right in front of them the whole time. They may have to take some time to lose their racist ideology or to reinvision the world with this new framework. But soon, hopefully, you’ll have a new comrade.
