There are a few reasons that I know of: Heavy bodies are more difficult to move, fat bodies take longer to dissect, and large bodies don’t always fit on the (usually decades-old) tables.
I think that weight is a disqualification that’s been changing in recent years, because even in Europe bodies are starting to trend larger. But it’s still something to keep in mind if you live in like Mississippi and think the University of Mississippi will take your 350 pound grandpa when he passes on.
I think it’s implying the opposite, that they abused their body so much during life that they no longer qualify to be donated. Weight is one of the major disqualifiers for whole-body donation.

My only suggestion, as a 00s teen who wore as many leg chains as possible, is to not let those straps droop/flop between the legs. Find connection points in the strap or other sections of the pant, or even leave the length inside the pockets and keep the strap sewn downand secured around the leg.
Getting stuck on chairs, bus seats, myself, car seats, etc., was honestly very annoying. And since they are sewn in as they are, they will be extra annoying in the wash.

I remember having BMI tests before training and once in boot camp, but not after I got to my first duty station. I was quite underweight when I was serving, but that was so long ago that I assumed they’d moved on to a better standard by now lol

My ornithology professor was absolutely livid when she learned I joked around in the “birds aren’t real” subreddit. The VA secretary already said a doctor can refuse to treat a veteran if they are an unmarried woman, among other things like atheism or being LGBTQ+. I can only imagine how hard anyone will have to fight for their benefits during this administration
I agree with you, I was just sharing what I knew of the process. My grandpa was rejected in a different state, but they were kind enough to cremate him for us.
