If you want to ping them you have to do it as a link like this @[email protected] Just @ing their username doesn’t work yet. You’ll also have to do it as a new comment since edits won’t notify them.

Come Mr Taliban, tally me banana.

Wouldn’t you lose the fur from your ears and tail though>
They mean those cute fuzzy ears like what catgirls have
Yes I know catboys have them too, and that there are ones of the NonBinary variety (I’m one of those).
Would probably be like a sphinx cat or those hairless dogs.
I choose 1, 4, 8.
1 and 8 helps with my species dysphoria and 4 is $20, can’t pass up 20 bucks man.
I also don’t really see the benefit of the others to me.
Sounds like you want a Distributed/Decentralized service like Nostr instead of a Federated service like Lemmy, you should join there instead, I’m sure you’d be right at home there.
I think that they are extremist left-wing users who create a lot of spam in many different comment threads, because of their tendency to spam and attack other users I think they should be avoided and instance admins should either block their instance or at the very least block a majority of the users posting this kind of spam (since it’s most of their active users I think blocking the Instance would be Easier IMO).
If future me doesn’t have real cat ears I’m going to cry. Oh how I wish I could be a cute neko enby (emphasis on the neko part, I’m already a cute enby).
Couldn’t have said it better myself. Federating with Threads would be more destructive than it would be beneficial, not to mention Meta’s horrible track record (FYI Meta was Facebook so everything Facebook did Meta also did, don’t ever forget that they’re connected).
Mobile apps may do it differently, but Lemmy-UI doesn’t do it, and the Lemmy backend won’t notify people with a plain mention without an embedded link.
