MJ12 Detachment Agent
The ability to pick real world locations seems like a game changer for a game like this.
I wonder if they will eventually expand to cover other transport types and becomes something like a modern “Cities in Motion”.
Good to hear that it’s a fun experience. I was thinking of picking this up.
They do say they will be ready in ~4 months.
FWIW, we already have multiple prison tycoon type games.
Pretty excited to try this one out, even though it doesn’t have any management features.
The dev does have a roadmap, but the next few releases are focused on the sandbox content component. I will speculate that if the game successful, we will have some basic management features added (or perhaps a management mode as an alternative to the mainline creative mode).
Fallout 1/2 are excellent games even by objective modern standards.
While the UI is a bit archaic by modern standards, it gets the job done. Late 90s UI/UX was noticeable better than what RPG games offered in the early and mid 90s.
Some elements of the gameplay are also subpar in hindsight. I find I have to cheese a lot of the early game combat encounters and get in pretty tedious kiting sessions (and even save scumming).
I bought Fallout 3 on release, but I bounced off it after a few hours of play. I’ve been meaning to replay it, but just haven’t gotten to it. New Vegas (technical glitches and limitations aside) is a whole different story though.
The art style is indeed both unique and visually appealing.
There definitely seems to be a bigger focus on (relatively simple?) 1st person activities as opposed to the tavern management component.
Every though there are no reviews or even “first impression” videos, I am kinda curious about this one. I like the more 3D focused base-defense/TD view.
I just hope the town building is somewhat developed.
Reminds me a bit of Exodus Borealis.
Found a workaround for Q2.
Steam Store has a tab heading titled “Recently Updated”, in it you can find a section called “Recently Updated”:
https://store.steampowered.com/news/
This is comparable to your news feed in your library but it also includes news/updates from games that you have on wishlist. Not the most elegant solution, but it does limit the number of items compared to AnarchoNoAdjectives “/updated/all” link.
Thank you so much!
Perfect solution for Q1!
For Q2, does anyone have any thoughts about filtering all updates either by tag or by a specific game list?
It could be a good MMO. :)
Pretty solid achievement, but I wonder if they’ll be able to continue iterating without access to EUV tech.
Is this an ARM CPU or some local ISA, this can’t be x86.
I thought this was a joke, but no it’s a real game. Played it on itch.io for a bit, actually seems like a good concept that fits the overall theme.
Hype is definitely going to be crazy.
Hopefully, they can at least approach the level of BG3 (i.e. be close enough).
I have a feeling this is going to impact total COD revenues, but I could be wrong.
Unless this is part of their enshittification strategy where they will massively raise prices and make franchises Game Pass exclusive once they get a large enough foothold in the market.
I just hope the Silent Hill 2 remake will have a proper PC port.
I really enjoyed Tavern Master (Tavern Tycoon wasn’t as fun), but this seems to be a bit more involved with custom furniture.
Last week Snapdragon claimed that Windows games “just work” on its latest ARM chip, the Snapdragon X Elite. At the time we said we’d believe it when we see it. Well, now we’re seeing it. A small glimpse of it, anyways
So are we seeing it or are we seeing a small glimpse of it?
Agreed, this does look like a slightly more complex Mini Metro and its sequel Mini Motorways.
